Rare football running backs (NFL) do not just slam into the mob for a gain of one or two yards but manage to almost always find a hole for large gain, even when there isn't one. Some of us remember and others can look up Nadia Comaneci whose olympic performances were so much better than her peers at the time that she was rated a perfect 10 for many of her performances.
'Non-linear' in this sense means that differences at the high end of things are very huge and impactful. Greatness in life is inherently non-linear. Perhaps this should be a guide, but I want to float it as a thread first, inviting player response.
